Alec Baldwin: I won’t host Oscars again

The 30 Rock star co-hosted the Oscars award ceremony last year with fellow actor Steve Martin. Alec has admitted that he wouldn’t consider presenting the prestigious awards again as he believes other people in the industry deserve a chance.
"Probably not. I think they need variety, new people,” he told Extra when asked if he would reprise his role at the Academy Awards.
The 52-year-old star went on to give his stamp of approval to this year's Oscar hosts, Anne Hathaway and James Franco.
"I thought they were very good, perhaps the second best host of the Oscars I've seen," he joked.
Alec’s glowing report of the pair’s performance at the event comes after their presenting abilities were met with mixed critical reception. Anne and James were employed as hosts for this year’s Academy Awards ceremony to bring a young and fresh feel. But despite a numerous montages and comedy sketches, their hosting skills have come under fire.
