Alec Baldwin Replacing Keith Olbermann?

Perez Hilton claims “sources at MSNBC are revealing that now that Keith Olbermann has been dropped from Countdown, the network is looking to find a suitable replacement – and are attempting to secure actor Alec Baldwin for the spot!”
For real?
The blogger reports that a “source” says Baldwin is ”brilliant on camera and honestly cares about news and fighting for the rights of everyday people. Don’t count him out. There was a time when everyone said Alec would never do a sitcom, only movies. Those same people are saying he would never run for office or host a political show.”
“If it means leaving 30 Rock behind any time soon,” concludes Perez, “then we’d be devastated!”
Not surprisingly, Perez is devastatingly wrong again.
Baldwin is NOT replacing Olbermann.
An NBC rep calls the report, “Entertaining, but not true.” And Baldwin’s rep denied the story as well, noting the actor “is committed to 30 Rock thru 2012.”
