After three years, Alec Baldwin returns to Rockland County, rejoining Elliott Forrest in a lively evening of conversation. They will discuss Mr. Baldwin’s life and award winning career. Nyack High School students will participate in a special Q&A about the craft of acting and a life in show business.

Alec Baldwin has starred in several films, including “Beetlejuice”, “Miami Blues”, “The Hunt for Red October”, “Malice”, “The Shadow”, “Glengarry Glen Ross”, “Heaven’s
Prisoners”, “Ghosts of Mississippi”, “The Edge”, “The Cat in the Hat”, “The Aviator”, “The Departed”, “Running with Scissors”, “The Good Shepherd”, “It’s Complicated” and many others. He received the National Board of Review Award for Best Supporting Actor for “The Cooler” and was nominated for an Oscar for the same film. On television, Baldwin is currently starring in NBC’s Emmy award winning comedy series, “30 ROCK”, for which he received the 2007 Golden Globe, SAG and Television Critics Association awards as Best Actor in a comedy and Emmys in 2008 and 2009. Baldwin has starred on “Knot’s Landing” for CBS and numerous other TV shows including “Dress Grey” (a miniseries for NBC), “Nuremberg: Infamy on Trial (for TNT) and appearances on “Saturday Night Live” (too many to count).
Elliott Forrest is a Peabody Award winning broadcaster and producer. He is currently heard on Classical 105.9FM WQXR and guest-hosts for Leonard Lopate and John Schafer and on WNYC. He is the Artistic Director of ArtsRock. He’s produced at The Hollywood Bowl, Lincoln Center and scores of concerts, events and shows. He recently directed A CHRISTMAS CAROL with David Hyde Pierce in The Greene Space, NY. He is the host and producer of the national radio concerts of The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center; and hosts and produces regular podcasts for the New York Philharmonic; has been the ‘voice’ of CNN and LIVE FROM LINCOLN CENTER on PBS. For more than 12 years he was with the A&E Television Network as host of Breakfast with the Arts and Biography.
Arts Angels is the umbrella organization that supports visual, music, and dramatic arts in Nyack Public Schools by enhancing programs including offsetting costs of theater productions, travel to student competitions and events, and artist-in-residency workshops.
