Alec Baldwin Gets Nomination for Comedy Central’s first-ever Comedy Awards

Alec Baldwin, Tina Fey and “30 Rock” are among the nominees for Comedy Central’s first-ever Comedy Awards.

30 Rock leads the TV categories with seven nominations, including “Comedy Actor” for Alec Baldwin and Tracy Morgan, “Comedy Actress” for Tina Fey (who is also nominated as “Comedy Actress” for “Date Night”) and Jane Krakowski as well as “Comedy Series”.

The nominees were selected by the Comedy Awards board including Conan O’Brien, Stephen Colbert, Jon Stewart, Billy Crystal, Whoopi Goldberg, Joan Rivers and Chris Rock.

The winners of each category will be chosen by an invitation-only voting body comprised of nearly 1,000 members of the comedy community. The awards will be broadcast across multiple MTV Networks on Sunday, April 10.
